Understanding Cash Flow

This course provides exposure to accounting and finance concepts and is intended for business owners, entrepreneurs, or employees who do not have an extensive background in accounting or finance. Participants will leave the session with an awareness of information typically used to analyze the day-to-day financial condition of a business, useful tools to help make profitable decisions, and insight into estate planning basics. The course content includes: a high-level analysis of cash flow using graphics and charts (as opposed to number intensive spreadsheets and tables) to explain Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) of financial reporting; useful methods for evaluating unit economics to determine the profitability of products/services; a checklist of key performance indicators of financial health; and high-level estate planning information important to business owners.
