Introduce yourself

Hey there folks! I'm Gioioa (pronounced Joya) Potter. You can call me GS if that's easier. My background is in political organizing and strategic analysis for low and no-income BIPOC communities. I spent almost 2 decades organizing and teaching homeless folks and prior to this position, I worked with a Black owned and operated political strategy firm based in Philly and DC. I've written in HuffPo, the BE Note, the Grio, Truthout, POOR Magazine and for WURD Radio and have ghost written for a number of private sector influencers and politicians. I've also done a lot of work on the radio and through podcasts. My mortal enemies are white supremacists and sweet pickles. My faves are grass roots, left wing politics and black olives. As an Intersected single mom, most of my time outside of work is spent with my two awesome and neurospicy kiddos. Coffee and creamer are my kryptonites. I'm really looking forward to working with King's Dream and learning more about everyone!
